A linksys router will work with broadband connections including cable and dsl. Verizon dsl will probably supply a modem, or make you buy one. You plug the the line from your phone jack to your modem. Note: that was a phone line. Then you plug your ethernet cord from modem to the wan port on your linksys router. Depending on how many extra slots you have available, that’s how many computers you can plug into it, unless it’s wireless of course, then that means more connections.
