Will a lienholder ever send the title before the loan is paid off?

We all make mistakes. I’m I loan officer and can imagine this happening accidentally a few different ways. If you have more than one loan with this institution, they could have pulled the wrong file and sent you the title when it was the other loan that was actually paid off. Or someone else’s payment could have been applied to your loan etc. Your best bet is to contact the bank, if it was an error and they realize it, they may not contact you and just get a replacement title from the registry and charge the fees to your account.

What is your question?
