Will a digital SLR camera be cheaper if bought in Japan rather then Australia?
I asked this in the business section and this is what they said, “I have lived in, worked in, and visited a lot of different countries, mostly in Europe and Asia, and I can tell you that I have not seen electronics and tech gadgets sell for less than they do in the USA. In Japan it was about the same as in USA for digital cameras, but in Germany and UAE (Dubai), and especially in Kuwait, as a few examples, prices for these goods are much higher than in the USA. In the former Soviet Union, the cost of sustenance living (food and water) is lower than in the USA, but there also, electronics are more expensive. It’s probably about economy of scale as much as anything. USA and Japan are giant economies and a huge shipment of electronics can all be sold in a short time within that one economy.
