Will a cortisone injection help strained tendons in the shoulder?

0

Hello Mike. The condition is called tendonitis. I had it in my left shoulder caused by shovelling sand and cement into a mixer doing building work when I moved into my retirement bungalow. I could not even put my jacket on without my wife’s help. I spent a fortune on chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths who all said they could cure it but were hopeless. In desperation I went to my doctor who turned out to be an expert in cortisone treatment. He injected my shoulder, it hurt for about two weeks and then the pain disappeared. That was five years ago when I was sixty five and I have never looked back. Don’t listen to people who say that it is painful, it isn’t. Even if it was it would be worth it. Tell your grandfather to go for it, he will be back playing golf in no time. BB.
