Will a consensus between major religions of the world end terrorism ?

First of all, there will never be a consensus between major religions unless and until deity deigns to come down an live among us in such a manner as to dispel any doubt about his status. (I know what I believe concerning just what form that will take, but my beliefs are beside the point here as not everyone shares them.) Until that time there will always be those that argue over religion. As long as people argue over this, there will be violence just as there is violence associated with arguments over other topics. This brings me to my second point. Even if we did all come to a consensus on religion (without the appearance of deity), they people would just find something else to argue over and that would lead to more violence. This would eventually lead to terrorism as those that seek power at any cost try to use the argument for their own end. No, we wont see an end to violence and terrorism until we learn to not allow our disagreements to lead to violence. Unfortunately, I don’t see
