A. If you purchase the Security Casement Window, all opening sashes will be fitted with clawlocks and shootbolts. The shootbolts offer between four and six stainless steel locking points (depending on the size of the sash) which engage into keeps. Many keeps are made out of cast alloy, prone to snapping under pressure, but our products again use stainless steel providing greater strength and more resistance to force, thereby protecting the locking side of the sash. Solid metal hinge bolts (clawlocks) are fitted on the opposite side of the sash, which prevent jemmying the window open. Q.
