Assuming you have access to the whole car, you can also swap out the wiring harness from the Caprice to use in your Monte. That way the whole Electronic control system will come with it. It’s not nearly as impossible as these guys make it sound. Having said that, going old school with a carbureted engine will alleviate a lot of the potential pitfalls but the ease of a fuel injected engine would be lost. Before diving into the project, it would be wise to do some online research.
