Will 2001 tire pressure sensors and wheels work on a 1999 vett?
I’ve gone through this also. The idiots at the tire shops have broken 3 out of 4 of mine off my 1995 6-speed LT1 Corvette coupe no matter how much I instructed them as to the possibility of damage by breaking the bead on the wrong area of the wheel. If you can get your hands on any of the other 3 (Left Front very hard to find) you can open up the case and modify the circuit board by cutting/soldering one of the little traces. In this manner you can change one into any of the others (although the label will still be the wrong color so you have to remember you did this!) I have the information for the older (original) sensors that came on the C4 Corvette (part numbers 10161854/5/6&7), so I would be able to supply you with that, but I’m not sure if the newer part numbers (88959444/5/6&7) are the same. However, I am almost certain the same mods are possible. A manufacturer would never make 4 completely different sensors when one could be easily modified. If you want the info, e-Mail:
