WiFi network is not secured in most existing deployments?
Typical discussion in security refers to 2 areas: user authentication, and traffic encryption. User authentication prevents unauthorized users to use network resources. Traffic encryption prevents unauthorized users to monitor the content of the information going through the wireless link. Most existing public WiFi deployments are using Open security mode. This mode can be monitored by hackers.
