Why Yahoo has been losing search space to competitors?
Yahoo has been losing market share mainly due to technical snags. Two years ago, the company launched Panama upgrade to fix that but that wasn’t successful. Then the company tried to overcome the problem by entering into a partnership with Google but never happened. It has been losing some of its brightest engineers to competitors such as Google and Microsoft. Along the way, the company also lost the confidence of its long time customers as they felt that the Yahoo was more interested in doing manual tweaks to advertiser accounts — without explicit permission — to generate more money.
