A survey was conducted of both CAD & CAM software currently available particularly for Linux. Several machine shop operators, hobbyist machnists, hobbyist blacksmiths, a model railroad hobbyist, professional patternmakers, hobbyist patternmakers, and a sheet metal shop operator expressed interest in having a combined package that is GNU gpled.
