Why would William randolph hearst dislike Theodore Roosevelt?
Hearst was a rich and powerful newspaper magnate. He owned so many US newspapers, that he was able to sway public opinion and eventually caused the call for war with Spain. After the war, When Roosevelt became President, he got the reputation of being a “trustbuster” and, as Hearst in effect ran a trust with the control of his newspapers, TR was not on Hearst’s Best Friends list.
