Why would someone want to play Lacrosse at Northeastern?
We believe there are several good reasons. First, Northeastern is a great place to get an education. Northeastern University is a leader in cooperative education (voted #1 by US News & World Report) which means that students graduating don’t just get a college degree, but get years of hands on experience working at companies in their chosen profession. Combine that with the city of Boston, and Northeastern is hard to turn down. Second, Northeastern Lacrosse offers a very competitive lacrosse experience, on a national scale without the overwhelming pressure and time-commitment of big time Division I varsity lacrosse. Our student-athletes are expected to dedicate themselves to the team, but they are given the time and latitude to focus on academics. The atmosphere on this team is much like a top Division III program, with a healthy combination of athletics, academics and social life.
