Why would my mother-in-law sabotage her grandsons career?
I would have your mother-in-law over for dinner and have your son present and without arguing ask her right out why she is against the career he picked. She simply may mean no harm and is trying to protect him not realizing he is capable of making his own choices or she wants him to follow in a relatives foot steps.
