Why would Income Support be stopped for a young single parent ?

She needs to go and speak to the people in the know! A young single mother can get all of the below is she sorts things out: Housing benefit Lone parent benefit Child Tax Credits Income Support Childrens allowance (what all parents get I think) From my experience I know that she can get the equivilent of more than someone who grafted hard at work 45 hours a week. She can also go through CSA to get money off her partner, however, she probably would not get very much and would be better off coming to a deal with the partner as she would lose part of her benefit and both girl and father would lose out. The father should help out, but what one must remember is that once she is claiming all these benefits she will probably be more well off than the father, and the father will get little to no help with payments for the child. So dont be too harsh on him when it comes to this.
