Despite the small amount of storage, a palmtop network diagnostic tool is very useful. There are several programs which will run on the 200LX and provide a good network diagnostic utility. Precision Guesswork (www.guesswork.com) sells a bundled solution which includes a 200LX, their LANWatch software, and a Silicom card. There are plenty of other uses for ethernet cards in the 200LX.
