Why would I want to advertise my local surfspot?
Unless your local surfspot is blessed with perfect waves all year round, you’ll need some help from the community once in a while to figure out the surf quality in your area. It’s a give and take though but we strongly believe that there is a lot more to gain by sharing with the rest of the community. For example: You’ll save time and gas money by having an instant snapshot of the conditions of all your local surfspots as you prepare to go down to the beach. No more endless driving along the coast. You’ll also most likely discover new surfspots around your area you kinda knew existed but never took the time to explore. Having a positive surf report in hand of that unfamiliar surfspot would certainly help before checking it out for the first time. These are just a few examples but at the very least, you’ll stay connected with your local surfing community and of course you’ll be spreading good karma. 🙂 After all, surfing is about sharing, it’s about the aloha spirit.
