Why would Halifax County United (HCU) and Bedford Soccer want to form a new club?
Bedford and HCU share a lot of common ground when it comes to philosophy, player development and geography. Our technical committees are already sharing program information and knowledge on a regular basis. We share a common vision for the game of soccer in our respective communities based around community spirit, passion for the game and player development. We share a mutual respect for each other and what each club is trying to do for the betterment of its members and the game. As a result of these synergies and the changing landscape of the game in Nova Scotia, we see an opportunity to build a stronger, more efficient body that will share resources and knowledge. The new club formed from the union will be a full service offering with teams from U4 to Premiership providing our players with a defined development path.
