WHY WOULD GUILFORD’S ZONING REGULATIONS NEED TO BE AMENDED?
Individual stores on the Rock Pile are currently limited to 25,000 square feet per store, plus one 40,000-square-foot building by special permit. To erect a 150,000-square-foot building (almost four acres) under one roof and to allow use by discount membership clubs, current zoning regulations would have to be amended.
