Why would Freemasonry Books be located under Witchcraft/Occult in the Brtish Library if it is about Morality?
Speaking as one knowing from experience, I can tell you simply this. Basically like all other things misunderstood, this too is a misnomer. The Term “Freemason” or “Mason” refers to a Builder. In the times of the biblical days, Masons were the most sought after men, because they held a knowledge of building temples, which required “No Iron Tools” because this would have defiled the temple, which were held in very high regard due to being places of worship. Also, Mason’s unlike many others were “Free” to travel, all the while earning very decent wages, due to having certain passwords and tokens in reference to the craftsmen, where as others had to have permission to enter other countries. The Phonecian Mason’s built the pyramids, and later it was Masons who built the temples of King Solomon, and David. Long Story short, they were very skilled craftsmen, who were benevolent in their livelihoods. Today’s “Freemason’s” are more of a spiritual semblance of that, meaning they build “Spiritua
Most witches out there do have morals. I’ve been a practicing Wiccan for nearly six years, and I can honestly say that, even though I’ve done some pretty stupid things in the past, no one can accuse me of being eveil or immoral. Most witches abide by some code of ethics (such as the Wiccan Rede (An harm it non, do what ye will) and the Three Fold Law (karma if you like the term.)) Please don’t ask why Freemason books would be located under witchcraft if the only basis for your argument is morality. A very close friend of my family is a Mason. He’s a Christian, attends chruch every Sunday, and is an all around decent guy. Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean it’s immoral.
