Why would drinking water cause heartburn?

0

Drinking more than the usual amount of water (per the doctors orders) caused me to have excess water in my system at meal times. That caused the need for more stomach acid to digest my meals. The excess stomach acid caused heartburn. Also when I reduced the amount of water I got esophagal cramps, caused by the water shortage in my system. I would say avoid drinking water near meal times, and never drink too much water unless, of course, you`re sweating. I still have heartburn, even though I stopped drinking excess water along time ago. I hope that helps, Hank.
