Why would departments/units want to switch to eIDs?
Departments can save time and money because they don’t have the overhead of maintaining local IDs and passwords. Computer security is enhanced as management functions and policies are standardized. And, having one ID/password combination is easier for a K-Stater to remember when it’s used on both the central K-State systems and on departmental systems.
