Why would climatologist make the assumption that increases in temperature will cause droughts?

So you’ve got a YouTube clip right with some random guy in a geology meeting (in an audience of about 5 people) claiming with no supporting evidence that every time CO2 has been higher in the past there have been no deserts. Yeah, that’s convincing. Anyway, to answer the question, there are many reasons why climatologists would make this “assumption” (a.k.a. prediction). 1) During the MWP, which on a global scale was not as hot as today, there were “megadroughts”. http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/ab… So in part, the prediction is based on relatively recent past events in similar conditions (which you would think a geologist would be aware of). 2) This is a result shown in climate models. “warming of 1 °C would reduce the transport of moisture to the Great Plains of the central US and western parts of the continent. When both these effects occur together, North America suffers a megadrought” <

Climatologists make all sorts of assumptions and just toss them out into the public. Given enough guesses, some have to be right, and when they are, they claim to be the first to claim they have some magical ability to see into the future. It’s a common trick used by psychics who claim they can talk to the dead. The funny thing is that people so desire to hear what they want to hear that they believe anything. “Global Warming” science can only use qualifiers like ‘could’, ‘maybe’, ‘probably’, ‘think’, ‘should’, and never uses words like will. When you hear believes say things like “California may be at the start of the worst drought in modern state history”, hold on to your wallet as someone only wants to rip you off.
