Why would auto makers produce cars that go way faster then you can go in the USA?
Granted the speedometers on some cards may read 120 or even 180, but most cars have a governor chip that prevents them from going over 110. Honestly I think the reason they sell cars that go faster than the allowable speed limit is two fold. First: You never know when there’s an emergency that will require you to speed (like getting a gun shop victim to a hospital). Second: It’s a selling point for some people (especially in sports cars). Look at anyone who buys a corvette. Other than the fact that it has great acceleration, no one would want it if it could go 0 to 60 in 4 seconds if it capped at 70.
