Why would anyone want to declaw a cat??

The reason people declaw cats is because they are lazy, selfish and materialistic. They are more concerned with their furniture than the well-being of their cat. PAWS COME WITH CLAWS! It’s as simple as that. I worked for a vet for many years and I’m still shocked that veterinarians continue to perform this surgery. Too many times I’ve entered the veterinary hospital in the morning to find a newly declawed kitty crying and bloody because it had ripped of its bandages due to extreme stress and pain. I’ve had 18 cats in my 35 years of life and never declawed a single one of them, yet I have NEVER had a piece of furniture ruined from stratching. This is because I’ve always provided my kitties with scratching posts and trees. It’s a heck of a lot cheaper to get a cat tree than to pay for declaw surgery, but these selfish, materialist people don’t like them because they don’t go with their decor. It’s ridiculous. Declawed cats develop so many behavioral problems. Many of them resort to bitin
