Why would anyone outwith the local area be interested?

We believe for many reasons! They might have Scottish roots, or have family from Scotland or Stirling, or indeed have just visited. They might live in another part of the world called Stirling or maybe just want to have a football team that they can have real input to. Just as many people around the world have a favourite English team then there is no reason why they should not have a Scottish Team that they could help run, have fun with or even bet on!
