Why would anyone buy an email directory, when there is email lookup?
Earlier today, while researching article material, I came across a blog that led me to the following ad on a Moroccan page: “Email Directory of small companies in the USA – Fields like website, email address, postal address, phone, fax and much more. There are 17 million total records and 2 million emails. Reduced price is now: $294 – only until this Friday.” Pretty bold, wouldn’t you say? So, that’s how spam and scams happen. I just know someone like that has recently gotten ahold of my email address and sold it everywhere possible, because you wouldn’t believe the stuff I’ve been getting through my email! It’s ridiculous on so many levels, it’s not even funny. So is this way of doing business. First off, why would anyone buy that list for almost 300 bucks, when they can find any email address they need, when they need it, with a quick, simple, and inexpensive online email lookup?
