Why would a dog vomit bile?
Our 4 y/o Yorkie started doing that from a reaction to commercial pet food, since we started home cooked food he hasn’t done it since. It was a 3-4 times per week thing for us. It could be the poisons or toxins in these commercial foods and your dog is more sensitive to them than others. Here’s a link for what we feed ours from: http://www.drpitcairn.com/nutrition/nutr… You should have her blood checked (liver/kidneys) to rule that out. I think it could be a bile acid test as well she might need to have?, not sure as it’s been awhile since we dealt with this. Don’t expect your vet to know as much as you think, a lot don’t and sometimes write off a serious symptom as normal, I hope you have a good one. The more you research and know as well helps when at the vets to ask intelligent questions regarding possible causes and what tests you might want done as well. Good luck. Edit:Three years ago I remember
Before you take you dog to the vet and have to put out all that money. Try to change her food. I had a dog once and thank god my brother is a vet, he told me to go home and put my hand in the bag of dog food if i feel a lot of oil in the bag to change her food. Dogs are a lot like humans, the grease from the food can be what is making her sick. Think about it if youate a bowl of grease you would get sick too. I had to change my dog to Dog Chow. Just give it a try and see what it does for your dog.
If you love your dog and don’t care the cost take her to a vet, now. Dogs, like people, vomit because something is upsetting their stomach or throat. If it is only bile that means it wasn’t something she ate that is making her sick, unless its still caught in there. On the other hand, sometimes dogs choke and make themselves throw up. Be safe, go see a vet.
