Why would a Corporate seek a risky investment?
Corporates are allowed to invest in highly rated securities so that they can provide for the liquidity needs of their members. The securities, backed by performing assets, could be easily sold in the market or used as collateral for loans to create liquidity. In the past, the value of the securities has remained stable, but in this season of economic unrest the pricing of the assets have fallen and the market is no longer actively trading these items.
