Why would a club sport be denied membership here at SF State University?
The main reason why certain club sports are denied membership is because the liability associated with them are high. The clubs listed below have been reviewed by the Office of Risk and Benefit Management and have been deemed activities excluded from club sport membership. The prohibited activities include but are not limited to: • Equestrian Sports or Rodeo • Gymnastics • Trampolines • Skin & Scuba Diving • Snow Skiing • Snowboarding • Water Skiing • Motor Sports • Fishing from Boats • Waterslides • Ballooning • Parachuting • Climbing Walls • Rock Climbing or Bungee Jumping • Mountain Climbing If you are interested in creating a club and you think it may be a high risk activity please contact the Coordinator of Club Sports for clarification.
