Why worry about frog declines?
Frogs are important because they are biological indicators. This means that if changes in the environment are affecting frogs, they probably will affect everything else in the ecosystems sooner or later, including humans. Frogs live both in water and on land and, therefore, are sensitive to changes in both environments. Since they have permeable (breathable) skin they are very sensitive to environmental changes.
