Why Work Safety Jokes?
Work safety jokes are interesting ways to share safety messages with employees. Rather than expect a person to sit down and read a safety manual, memo, or e-mail about safety policies, adding some humor to the topic is a way to get the message across that safety is important in a way that keeps the employees’ interest. You can show the pictures, tell the joke, or share the story and then discuss the safety issue that it pertains to. The employees may be more likely to remember the message you are trying to convey if you include some humor with it. This can be an effective teaching technique and it is one that is worth trying in your organization.
