Why won the TexPort macros install in Word 2000/XP?
Microsoft has included macro virus protection in the latest versions of Word. This means that you must explicitly allow any installation of third-party macros. To do this, go to Tools -> Security. Select low security and click OK. Restart Word. You should now be able to install the TexPort macros. If this does not work, you can copy a file named me32word2000.dot from c:\mathedit to c:\Program Files\msoffice\office\startup. Why is the EquationImport macro only inserting one or two equations or no equation and then stopping? This is a known bug in our software. To work around it, make sure the directory/folder containing your file has a name limited to eight characters, with no spaces or special characters. Also, filename has to be in 8.3 format(limited to 8 characters) and no numbers(0-9), no – ,no space or any special characters.
