Why wont the record companies pick up the tab for something like that?
NF: In this day and age, a rock video of the quality that MTV is gonna play, usually, not always, there are exceptions to the rule, but usually those are hundred thousand dollar videos. Back when we did a Shogun Named Marcus, we were able to do a fourteen thousand dollar video, and get it on the air. If there is no guarantee on the return, then record companies are very hesitant to do it. If they are gonna throw us $100,000; I’d just rather put it in my pocket. I also think, honestly, it has something to do with the way we look. Ya know? We’re not going to dress up, and they know that. What about the Spacegrass video at the end of Pure Rock Fury? It is done, professionally shot, and really captures the essence of the band. Why not air that? NF: Well we did do a video for Immortal, Justin Ryan did it.
