Why won the new Jabra BT320s stereo Bluetooth adapter pair with a Treo 650?

The BT320s is found by the Treo in pairing mode, asks for the PIN, but rejects it and remains unpaired. (The code is correct, 0000 of course.) The BT320s does pair successfully with the PC BT dongle, so it plays music and supports skype well, working as expected. I was sure to totally disconnect and unpair it from the PC before trying to pair with the Treo. I’ve rebooted the Treo, reset the SIM card, etc. multiple times, and been on the phone with tech support for quite a while. I appreciate any additional ideas.
