Why won my Toshiba Tecra 8000 boot up?

Well I have a Toshiba as well and it has done this in the past. Usually what I do is take the battery pack out of the laptop and hold down the power button for about 30 seconds… reattach the battery and then I am able to turn it on. Maybe it will work for you.
