Why won my ImageMate install on Windows 95?
You have 95a which does not have support for USB or you have 95b or 95c USB and it is not configured properly. First, please find out whether your Windows 95 system is capable of supporting USB devices. Please visit Microsoft web site for detailed descriptions; linked below at Q253756. 1. To run USB for Windows 95, your Windows 95 must be OSR 2.0 or higher. To check the version of Windows 95: Point the mouse to “My Computer”, then click the right button of the mouse. Point to the “Properties”, then click the left button of the mouse. The “System” must show 4.00.95B or later You can use Intel’s USBReady utility to check whether your system has been upgraded with USB support. 2. If your system version is OSR2.1 or higher, you can upgrade the system with USB support by running the USB Ready program located at the bottom. If your system version is OSR2.0, you MUST get the USB supplement package from the OEM supplier. It is also available from Microsoft for the MSDN members free of charge.
