Why won my green cheek conure let me pet it?
Don’t try to pet her for now. After only 5 days, you are very fortunate that she has apparently been raised right and that you can do as much with her as you have so far. Count your blessings. You are rushing her too soon to be trying to pet her. In time you may, or you may not. It just depends on her. Some don’t mind it, others take great exception. In any case, later on when you do try again, do not bring your hand towards her from above. That’s the way predators approach. Always let her see you hand coming and bring it up from below her eye level. Good luck.
