When we upgrade your engine to our 6.1 L “stroker” or if we build you an all-new 7.0 L engine, we use a billet 4340 chromoly steel crankshaft (nitrided), forged 4340 chromoly steel connecting rods and forged aluminum-alloy Wiseco pistons. This combination will reliably handle 750hp, and is perfectly mated to the supercharger’s demands. A stock engine will not handle the power we are producing without some serious side-effects. Engines in which we have installed one of our head/cam packages still have the OEM crankshaft/rods/pistons, which, as far as supercharging is concerned, is still a stock engine.
