Why wont he sign divorce papers?
You don’t NEED him to sign anything in order to get a divorce. He might be doing it to get on your nerves, not give you what you want, trying to hang on, worried that it will cost him something, or just plain old lazy. If YOU want the divorce, go to your lawyer and tell him your husband has had his chance, won’t sign, and you’re ready to move ahead with the divorce without him. Your lawyer will file papers, and your husband will have to show up to court. If he comes and argues it might take a while, but it will also cost him more to pay a lawyer to fight it. If you stick by wanted the divorce, it would be virtually impossible for you to end up not getting one. If he doesn’t show up at all, the divorce will be granted to you.
