Why won Family Tree Maker merge the duplicates from a privatized file?

When merging files, Family Tree Maker will only merge duplicates that share the exact same name and birth date. Since Privatization mode replaces the birth dates of living individuals with the word “Private,” Family Tree Maker will not merge them automatically. However, you can still merge them manually using the Merge Specific Individuals command.
