Why wont Apple Mac laptops connect to the internet when using a USB or Bluetooth connection to a handset?
Apple Macs will work on Zain Access, but only a few Data cards support the Mac Operating System (OS). The Samba 75 is Mac compliant as is the Sony Ericsson GC89. If you are using a Bluetooth connection between a Mac PC and a phone make sure that the correct modem initialisation script is used, either *99***1# or *99***2# or *99***3# depending on the order of where the Internet APN is listed on the handset, if in doubt try them all until it works! The default initialisation script is *99# which you should try first. These scripts go in the phone number field on the connection dialogue to tell the PC to make a connection via a data modem. Leave the User Name and Password fields blank. Make sure any other dial up modems settings for other operators are deleted as well to avoid conflicts on the handset. There should only be 3 connection profiles on the handset which are Zain WAP, Zain MMS and Zain Internet. It appears that Mac’s are very fussy about the type of phone used. They work fine w
