Why Women, War & Peace?

0

Women, War & Peace grew out of ongoing conversations between WIDE ANGLE Executive Producer Pamela Hogan and Series Producers Abby Disney and Gini Reticker, who were then finishing their Oscar short-listed documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell. Hogan, Disney and Reticker, throughout their respective work, each noted the media’s blind spot in reporting on the momentous change in women’s roles in conflict and peacebuilding. The need was great, the gap was enormous, and the opportunity compelling. Pray the Devil Back to Hell will kick off the four-part series planned for 2010. Here’s an interview with Reticker and Disney. To view this site, you need to have Flash Player 9 or later installed.
