Why will students who accept a seat not be eligible to transfer to another campus for the ADN program?
We want the group that starts the program in Newton to finish the program there. This will enable us to evaluate the success of this special program and cohort. It is important to have high enough numbers of students in the program to be able draw valid conclusions about its success and determine its future. If students are permitted to transfer out of the program it reduces our numbers and compromises our ability to effectively evaluate this pilot program. For this pilot program, it is important that students who are commuting know that if their commute becomes too difficult, transferring to a closer campus will not be an option for them. We therefore ask students, especially those who are commuting, to either make the commitment to complete both years at Newton or to not accept the seat.
