Why will merit increases not be awarded in FY09?
Rewarding and retaining valuable employees remain the highest priorities for every member of the UTMB leadership team. Unfortunately, financial conditions beyond our immediate control prohibit us from granting any merit increases for the remainder of FY09. The exception to this will be employees who are funded by external sources (such as Correctional Managed Care staff and grant-funded employees).
