The CAMS Implementation team conducted several working group sessions to evaluate a number of CAMS installation options. With input from various DCFO personnel, it was determined that a single CAMS production database will house data for NIST, TA, NTIA, and the NIST customer bureaus (BEA, EDA, ESA, MBDA, OIG, OS). In the past, NIST, TA, and NTIA data has been physically separated from customer bureau data. However, it is the organization’s goal to centralize accounting practices across all bureaus to allow better cross-service deployment of DCFO resources and, as a result, lower overall implementation costs.
