Back in the old days (when I was a kid) – 60 miles per hour was the speed limit on most major highways and entry ramps were rare – – You had to get up to speed really quickly at times, in a very short distance . . . So, the auto manufacturer’s advertised that critical 0-60 time to spur car sales . . . Nowadays the major highways almost always have long entry ramps to accelerate up to the speeds needed to blend into traffic . . . Even granny can get her wheelchair up to highway speeds on those acceleration ramps and the 0 to 60 time isn’t very critical any more . . . .
