Why when I play audio or video files, my Jornada gets warm?
Playing back movies, digital camera images, and audio files consumes large amounts of power and usually cause the unit to become warm to the touch. This is also a normal situation and it does not indicate malfunction. Can I mount a network share to access files on my LAN?If you are running PPC2002, Netrunner is a free utility that will allow you to mount a network share and access it via the LAN (wired or WiFi). The biggest difference between PPC2002 File Explorer and NetRunner is that File Explorer will not let you open the file over the network. You have to copy it to your local storage and then open it there. With NetRunner, you can open the file directly over the network. There also is an evaluation/purchase ($29) solution called PocketLANCE. It requires a ‘host’ monitor application on a desktop PC on the network (doesn’t care which one) that loads during boot to feed the necessary stuff to the PPC.
