The U.S.A. is not a Christian nation. As a Jew, I’m glad to have equal rights here. Many, many of the original immigrates came to escape religious persecution. The country was founded as a haven from religious persecution. Therefore NO religion was picked. I have been told that I’m a 2nd class citizen because I’m not Christain in this Christain country. I’ve found it hateful, shocking (it was a supposely genuine friendship), and disgusting that anyone would disvalue and discard me so easily. The strength of this country is built on it’s diversity – and all the creative ideas that comes from that. Jews, Muslims, atheists, & yes, Christians – Lutherian, Catholic, Baptist, Evangenlical, Unitarian count too.
