Why were there no nominees for Best Original Script in Chinese?
Sometimes, the judges feel that none of the works that year which would have qualified for a particular category is strong enough to justify an award in that category. In those cases, there shall be no nominees. The awards have to be meaningful, so it is better NOT to hand out an undeserving award than to give one for the sake of it.
